That’s Not It goes Pascal

During the start up of That’s Not It we are putting our focus on Blaise Pascal, an important french 17th century philosopher. Pascal – although generally considered as a mathematician and a christian thinker – was one of the first to theorize the function of ideas in social space, and that is where our interests merge. David is working on a interesting discussion/dialogue between Stevens and Pascal, which will develop into an analysis of Jean Genet’s play The Balcony. Furthermore Pascal is now also represented in our Library by a few selected pensées. By adding to this focus on Pascal Claes is applying a critical perspective on a narrow selection of his Pensées, including Imagination.
